Culture Center "St. Cyril and St. Methodius 1966 - Silistra" was established in 1966. It is the only cultural and spiritual center in the district "Gagarin" - Silistra. Its work begins with an amateur and a small library with a library of 600 volumes of literature. At present the library has 13,652 volumes of literature. Culture Center "St. Cyril and Methodius 1966 - Silistra" successfully cooperates with local government, schools and kindergartens, the cultural institutions within the region of Silistra. Narodno chitalishte "St. Cyril and Methodius 1966 - Silistra" successfully implemented a project funded by UNDP and the Ministry of Culture through a "club folk applied art." This established a basis for training and development of traditional crafts. Annually in the summer Folklor ensemble "Rhythm" involved with their folklore program to visiting tourists in the town of Silistra and in international festivals at home and abroad. |
